The Valencia CF continues to strengthen its ties with Mexico, where it will have its first VCF Academy Mexico starting in August 2025. This VCF Academy allows Valencia CF to expand its presence in a strategic market like Mexico, which will host the 2026 World Cup alongside the USA and Canada, countries where Valencia CF also has various VCF Academies.
The first VCF Academy Mexico will be located at the Tecnológico de Monterrey – Campus Morelia, the capital of the state of Michoacán, a city with a population of 800,000 similar to that of Valencia. This initiative marks another step in Valencia CF’s presence in Mexico, where it has been conducting various VCF Camps since 2024 and played a friendly match last October against the Mexican National Team.
Collaborating with NETA Agencia Deportiva, the new VCF Academy Mexico in Morelia will offer continuous activities throughout the season, complementing the VCF Camps held in other locations in Mexico.
The project of the VCF Academy Morelia will be directly supervised by the technical leaders of the VCF Academy Programs.
Valencia CF’s presence in Mexico also has a sentimental connection, as the descendants of the club’s first president, Octavio Augusto Milego, reside in the country.
The VCF Academy Mexico joins other VCF Academies in strategic markets in America, Europe, and Asia, spreading the Valencia CF brand and the training methodology of the VCF Academy, ranked as the fourth best in Europe for player development by the CIES Football Observatory.
The VCF Academies, VCF Camps worldwide, Training Experiences at the Valencia CF Sports City, VCF Academy Coaches Convention, VCF Academy World Cup, and Clinics are all part of the VCF Academy Programs, which host over 5000 players from 50 different countries each season.
