El PP valenciano pide explicaciones sobre Cerdán y apunta al PSPV y Morant

The deputy spokesperson of the PP in Les Corts, Nieves Martínez, has demanded explanations from the Valencian socialists, particularly from their leader and Minister of Science, Innovation, and Universities, Diana Morant, regarding the former Secretary of Organization of the PSOE, Santos Cerdán, because she believes that they are necessary following the resignation of the party’s former number 3 and after the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, apologized to the citizens.

«Yesterday all Spaniards were incredibly amazed to see how a Spanish president gave the explanations that he did and even wanted us to believe them,» the ‘popular’ deputy stated in statements to the media this Friday. «Today in Valencia, we woke up with the feeling that we need explanations from a PSOE that has fled,» she added.

She pointed out that «there is no one here» this Friday, referring to the Valencian parliament, and emphasized that the Minister and Secretary General of the PSPV, Diana Morant, «had an agenda» today, but it has «disappeared.»

Furthermore, she took the opportunity to criticize Compromís for «forgetting that they are part of the Sánchez government» and reminded the coalition «that they are part of the government that is walking on carpet.» Therefore, she challenged them to «stop being the lackeys of the PSOE» in Madrid and to act «because that is what democracy needs.»

Martínez stated that in the Valencian PP they are «like all Spaniards, dismayed and angry,» and pointed out that Spain «cannot continue like this,» so she demanded the calling of general elections, as the leader of her party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, did this Thursday. «Yesterday’s explanations are not enough for Spaniards. We want to vote and for Spaniards to have the opportunity to say enough and that we want democracy to continue living,» she asserted.

«DIRECT RELATION» OF THE SCANDAL WITH THE VALENCIAN SOCIALISTS

Asked about the Valencian ramifications of the alleged commission scandal involving Koldo García, the deputy spokesperson of the PP described them as «shameful» and drew attention to the fact that until today, «of the four Peugeot horsemen, only the President of the Government is missing to say ‘my fault’.» «The fact that he is capable of coming out and telling all Spaniards that he didn’t know anything is very striking,» she emphasized.

In the same vein, she emphasized that the direct relationship that the whole scandal seems to have had with the Valencian socialists also «draws a lot of attention,» hinting that perhaps the silence they have today in the PSPV «means something» in this regard.

«Perhaps the rise that certain representatives of Valencian socialism from Botànic had towards Sánchez’s governments has a lot to say. That there are more than thirty apparently rigged contracts along with the scandal during the Botànic governments… the Valencian socialists have something to say about that,» she added.

Therefore, she exclaimed: «Enough of being accomplices, enough of covering up ‘sanchismo.’ The Valencians need to know what the Valencian socialists think. And today we have a Valencian minister with a Valencian agenda who has disappeared.»
