The football field at the Municipal Sports Center in Sedaví has reopened its doors on Tuesday, May 20th, after being renovated thanks to Valencia CF, through the Fundació VCF, LALIGA EA SPORTS, Divina Seguros, and the donations made to the ‘FILA CERO SOLIDARIA’.
«It is a great pleasure to see this field. Tears fell the day I came to see it because I have been a mother like you and I have had my children playing here on this field. It moves me to see that the field has been restored, that children can come here to enjoy themselves, to learn. I want to thank everyone who contributed to the donation. Sedaví is a beautiful town. I hope you celebrate it, have many successes, and that we can all celebrate many years that this field is for you,» said Inma Ibáñez, Director of the Fundació VCF.
The inauguration event was attended by the General Director of Valencia CF – Javier Solís, the Director of Fundació VCF – Inma Ibáñez, Valencia CF player – Diego López, Club ambassadors – Ricardo Arias, Miguel Ángel Bossio, and Miguel Tendillo, General Director of Sports GVA – Luis Cervera, President of FFCV – Salvador Gomar, President of Divina Seguros – Armando Nieto, President of the Association of VCF Footballers – Fernando Giner, President of the Agrupació de Penyes Valencianistes – Fede Sagreras, executives of the VCF Small Shareholder Association – Luis Martínez and Ramiro Ocio, President of CF Atlético Sedaví – Fernando García, and the Mayor of Sedaví – José Francisco Cabanes.
More than 250 boys and girls from the affiliated school CF Atlético Sedaví were able to enjoy a day that started with entertainment activities and the company of the official Valencia CF mascot, ‘AMUNT’. Subsequently, various representatives of the entities involved made their interventions. After that, the commemorative plaque of the football field was unveiled, and to conclude, there was a training session with coaches from the VCF Academy and the affiliated school CF Atlético Sedaví.
The reconstruction of the football fields also highlights the collaborative spirit of the ‘Escoles VCF’ project of the VCF Academy. Through this project, the 43 participating schools not only benefit from the methodology, talent, and training of a globally recognized reference model but also serve to strengthen ties and relationships between clubs with Valencia CF as a catalyst.
The official insurer of Valencia CF, Divina Seguros, has been part of the Club’s solidarity initiative – ‘UNITS COM SEMPRE’ – from the beginning, matching the largest contribution made to the FILA CERO SOLIDARIA. In addition, Divina Seguros provided private health coverage, both for accidents and illnesses, at no cost to over a thousand boys and girls from the football schools affected by the DANA.
«I want to thank Valencia CF for organizing the reconstruction of the fields, the fans who have contributed their money, Peter Lim, and Divina Seguros. I also want to thank the parents who sacrifice hours of their lives every day to bring the children to train. They have to be playing, learning to win, lose, and work as a team. This is also education,» said Armando Nieto, President of Divina Seguros.
Likewise, this Valencian company, along with Valencia CF and Fundació VCF, has donated a musical instrument to the Agrupació Musical Santa Cecilia de Sedaví.
The collaboration of LALIGA EA SPORTS for the restoration of the field is part of the FC FUTURES project, which aims to ensure easy and quality access to football for children and young people worldwide. As part of this project, balls and sports equipment have also been donated to the affected schools in the area.
