Out of the Squad
“The team is fully available, except for Enzo due to cards”.
Villarreal CF
“It is special and important. Special because Villarreal was a key club in my coaching formation. A club for which I will always be grateful for giving me the opportunity to integrate into a professional football context. The value of gratitude is essential. I will be eternally grateful. It is also special because it is important in the Valencian Community and because, even though we fight for different objectives, achieving a good result is tremendously important. Their position in the table reflects the merit of what they do on the field. They defend and attack well, with a great coach and players and a club management model that has brought them much success”.
Team
“We have played 4 home games in LALIGA, 2 away, we drew against Sevilla FC in a game where I liked the team’s intensity and then against FC Barcelona, which was a stain for us. In the Cup, we won away and tomorrow we have the opportunity for the team to continue maturing. To achieve our goal, Mestalla alone is not enough. The team has trained with the intensity and concentration required to play as visitors”.
Marcelino
“His resume speaks for itself. There is no need for me to praise the career of a coach who is at the top. He has a virtue, which is to get the maximum performance out of each squad he coaches. He does it very well, and that’s why he has built the resume he has”.

Match Preparation
“We prepare the game with maximum ambition and responsibility. There, is the analysis of the opponent and ours. Knowing that the game plans are just starting points, what is important is the capacity for work, effort, being comfortable in difficult moments… Villarreal CF is the third team that scores the most goals offensively. That speaks of the attacking component and it is a game that to earn points or a good result there, demands the best from us”.
Pepelu
“I see Pepelu very prepared. I see him with maximum commitment and wanting to help the team from recovering or showing his best version. When a player shows you that, one has the confidence that things will work out”.

Enzo Barrenechea
“He is a player who is very important to us. But a squad cannot be composed with just one player per position. A good squad is one where the identity and values of the team do not change depending on who plays”.
Fans
“Messages do not serve them in advance, they want to see our response on the field. I have seen a very good work from the team to have a good response tomorrow on the field. The players are aware that to achieve a good result tomorrow they have to give their best”.
Villarreal CF Model
“There is no envy of anything. I value facts. That management model has worked for them and allowed them to overcome difficulty. They were relegated and, through their management, they were able to turn that difficulty into a strong comeback”.
Valencia CF Model
“Each club is different. Valencia CF is a club with history, with a recent Copa title, with a greatness and an immense impact on society. That makes us have the utmost sense of responsibility, and Valencia CF is in that return to that essence and greatness it represents”.

Diakhaby
“He is ready to compete with the group. He, having been out for so long, requires us to be able to manage the training loads. It is a situation that many players demand that individualization of training load”.
Iván Jaime
“To be a competitive team, you have to have many starters. I perceive any of my players as having the potential to be starters, and in the performance they are giving, they are positioning themselves more often starting the games or not. Any player on the team has the potential to be a starter. The quality between the lines and versatility can define them as a footballer”.
Max Aarons
“I see any of my players as being prepared to be starters”.
Match
“The motivation for tomorrow is maximum, pride is maximum, and responsibility as well”.
