The València City Council has called for grants aimed at businesses to promote the use of Valencian in their establishments. The objective of this subsidy is to encourage the presence of Valencian as a language commonly used in companies, businesses, and establishments open to the public in the city.
This is the sixth consecutive edition of this call, with a budget of 47,500 euros, specifically aimed at improving communication strategies between merchants and customers, as well as promoting the normalization of Valencian in this important area. Additionally, 100% of the expenses incurred by businesses between July 1, 2024, and May 31, 2025, are subsidized, with a maximum of 2,000 euros per establishment.
The deadline to submit applications for grants to businesses that promote the use of Valencian is from this Friday, March 21, to April 9. The process can be done in person or through the City Council’s Electronic Headquarters via the following link, where you can also consult and download the guidelines to know the requirements or necessary documentation to provide.
The Linguistic Normalization Service of the València City Council, under the Department of Cultural Action, Heritage, and Cultural Resources, is responsible for managing these grants specifically designed to evaluate the actions carried out by business owners in the city that contribute to normalizing the use of Valencian in this sector.
As in the previous edition, eight lines of grants are maintained that provide businesses in the city with a wide range of actions to promote the language, including expenses for Valencian training for employees, interior and exterior signage of the premises, advertisements in the media, or printed advertising. It also includes the establishment or improvement of corporate identity, durable printed materials, websites, and mobile applications, as well as a specific line for the hospitality and catering sector (menu cards on paper or digital).
