The VCF Mestalla will be visiting the Estadi Narcís Sala this Sunday at 12:00h to face UE Sant Andreu in the first of two unified matchdays that will conclude the regular phase of the championship.
Miguel Ángel Angulo’s team is determined to secure three points as visitors to continue their promotion playoff aspirations ahead of the crucial final match against CE Sabadell at the Antonio Puchades. They will need to bring back their best form as they take on one of the strongest teams in the group, who are still vying for the top spot in the standings.
In the lead-up to the clash with UE Sant Andreu, striker Warren Madrigal, who scored a hat-trick in the previous game against UE Cornellà, spoke to VCF Media about the team’s preparations for Sunday’s match.
«Focused: We know it’s a tough game, but the team is eager for Sunday to come and go for the three points.»
«Recovering the best version: The last game was tough, we faced some challenges. But in the end, we managed to win and secure the three points. Now, we are eager to go after them on Sunday.»
«On a roll: Since returning from injury, I have been working hard and improving many aspects. The most important thing is to win, but fortunately, I have been scoring goals and I hope to continue like this.»
«Competition in attack: We, as forwards, get along very well, which is important because when one of us enters the field, we push each other, creating healthy competition among the three of us. It works really well for us, as when one plays, we support and when not, we remain calm.»
«Ready for anything: When everything is against you, it becomes really exciting. We have worked hard during the week, giving our all to arrive in top form on Sunday.»
