Over the weekend, the Camp de Mestalla became the exceptional setting for the LALIGA FC Pro Finals, the final phase of the esports competition where the 16 best teams in the national scene competed for the championship title.
The Valencia CF, represented by Obrun, defeated Villarreal CF in the first round and ended their title quest in the quarter-finals against Real Sociedad. The day attracted over 2,000 attendees who not only enjoyed the excitement of the competition but also various attractions surrounding the event.
«The stadium is magnificent. I was here a few months ago for a photo shoot, and it was incredible. Today, with all the people and players, I think it’s the perfect atmosphere for this tournament,» said the Valencia player. The Camp de Mestalla, specially adapted for the occasion, offered a top-notch entertainment experience throughout the day.
GAMING, MUSIC, AND SOCCER AMBIENCE FOR ALL AUDIENCES
In the southern area of the stadium, different recreational spaces were set up with activities for all audiences, raffles, a small soccer field, and a competition stage that, along with the main stage located in the Tribune, delighted gaming enthusiasts.

In the morning, visitors had the opportunity to meet two prominent figures in an exclusive ‘Meet & Greet’: David Albelda and DjMaRiiO, the most popular content creator in the EA FC universe. In the afternoon, just before the grand final between Sporting de Gijón and Sevilla FC, singer Nil Moliner thrilled attendees with a musical performance full of energy and a great atmosphere, serving as a prelude to the big match. The final crowned Sevilla CF as champions, concluding an unforgettable day for soccer and esports enthusiasts in an unforgettable setting.
CAMP DE MESTALLA CONTINUES TO ESTABLISH ITSELF AS A VENUE FOR MAJOR EVENTS
For the LALIGA FC Pro Finals, the stadium activated a special operation designed by LALIGA to ensure the flawless execution of the event and provide a top-notch experience for both players and attendees: security and access coordination, technical production tailored to the competitive environment and tournament audiovisuals, two simultaneous competition stages, specific areas for player training and rest, caster areas, giant screens, and more.

Thanks to initiatives like this, the Valencia CF stadium continues to establish itself as a venue for major events. This strategy, aimed at positioning in the sector and learning for the future move to the Nou Mestalla in the summer of 2027, seeks to establish new points of contact with all types of audiences and visitors, beyond the first team matches.
The Club, recognized by LALIGA with the Best Event of 2024 award for the innovative Nochevieja Coliseo, continues to work to make its stadium a reference point for leisure, culture, and entertainment in the city, reinforcing its role as a social engine and dynamic force in the area.

DJMARIIO AND ALBELDA, IMPRESSED WITH THE STADIUM AND EVENT DEVELOPMENT
Our stadium has amazed attendees, players, and content creators. «We spent an hour doing a Meet&Greet with people, and we saw a lot of Valencia CF jerseys. Valencia is a very soccer-oriented city. EA FC has been the trendy game in recent years; I’ve been playing it on my channel for about 10 years, and these players are competitive and have to train a lot. I was here at Mestalla some time ago with sTaXx, a YouTuber who supports Valencia CF, and I was pleasantly surprised. The stadium seemed very, very large; the orange color of the stands stands out a lot, and it’s a top-notch stadium. I’m delighted to be here,» explained DjMariiO.

On the other hand, Albelda points out that esports have been growing «tremendously for years. Those of us with children are aware of it; they have a lot of appeal and continuous growth. The event setup is very well done; it was about time it came to Valencia, and Mestalla is an ideal location. The players are chosen among many and they perform very well.»
