The IV VCF Academy World Cup is counting down the hours until the ball starts rolling. This Thursday, June 26, marked the inaugural ceremony that brought together over 200 players from the 14 teams of the VCF Academy Programs from various parts of America, Asia, and Europe participating in this U12 tournament.
The Antonio Puchades, the main field at the Valencia CF Sports City, hosted the parade of each team and player in front of their family and friends who cheered from the stands.
The flags of each participating country: Canada, USA, Netherlands, Belgium, Greece, Cyprus, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Hungary, and Spain added color to the parade where each team took their official photo on the Antonio Puchades field.
Alongside each team were club ambassadors Miguel Ángel Bossio and Miguel Tendillo, former Valencia CF players and legends of the club from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. They invited players and companions to enjoy the tournament and feel Valencia and Valencia CF as their home in the big Valencianista family that makes up the various VCF Academy Programs.
The event also featured a special message from Diego López, Valencia CF player and ambassador of this IV VCF Academy World Cup, who recently completed his participation with Spain in the U21 European Championship and encouraged young players from America, Asia, and Europe to enjoy a unique experience.
To conclude the event, the main sponsor of Valencia CF, TM Grupo Inmobiliario, raffled a 3-day stay at one of their residential complexes and an official Valencia CF jersey from the 24.25 season, which was received by Dietert Vanhautte from VCF Camps Belgium.
After the parade and numerous photos on the Antonio Puchades field, it was time to savor the typical Valencian dish, paella, which allowed players and families to share moments of camaraderie before the start of the competition this coming Friday.
Following the paella, a visit to the Camp de Mestalla was scheduled to explore the inner workings of the historic LaLiga stadium, which celebrated its 102nd anniversary in 2025, and a visit to the Club’s Official Store to firsthand experience the new technical gear of Valencia CF for the 2025.26 season unveiled on Thursday.
From Friday until Sunday, the focus will be on enjoying football in the multiple matches to be held on the Football 8 fields at the Valencia CF Sports City. The 14 teams are divided into two groups of 7, aiming to qualify for the various finals in the categories of Sentiment, Valence, and Brotherhood, concepts that summarize the Philosophy of the VCF Academy.
The VCF Academy World Cup is part of the VCF Academy Programs, along with the various VCF Academies in America, Asia, and Europe, the VCF Camps conducted worldwide by Valencia CF, the Training Experiences at the Valencia CF Sports City, and many other actions that help spread the brand image of the Club.
Each season, over 5000 children from more than 50 countries participate in some of the actions that make up the VCF Academy Programs.
