• The City Council has decided to suspend educational activities, outdoor and social activities, day centers, occupational centers, and youth centers.
Following the meeting of the Cecopal and in accordance with the Level 0 decreed by the Generalitat, it has been decided for the entire city of Valencia, for the duration of the emergency, which will necessarily cover at least Tuesday and Wednesday:
– Suspend educational activities, outdoor and social activities, day centers, occupational centers, and youth centers.
– Suspend extraordinary activities with a large public attendance due to the Fallas festival, such as the «mascletà».
– Suspension of all municipal sports activities and closure of outdoor facilities.
– Closure of parks and gardens as well as municipal cemeteries.
– Suspension of extraordinary markets in the city.
– Opening of the Caes de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, reinforced by the opening of the Benimaclet pavilion.
– Intensification of surveillance in ravines in the northern and southern districts and riverbed by the Local Police and Firefighters.
– Avoid unnecessary travel and it is recommended not to approach or circulate near the ravines.
– Promotion of teleworking for officials living outside the city and closure of non-essential municipal offices in Pedanies Nord and Sur.
These measures will remain in place on Thursday if the Level 0 emergency situation continues.
At 9:58 am this morning, the City Council activated all members of the CECOPAL to monitor the rainfall episode. This activation at 9:58 am has decided to increase surveillance with Local Police patrols in the northern and southern districts, and to keep the entire Water Management System under special surveillance.
