The centenary Camp de Mestalla will be the venue for the VIII Clínic Escoles VCF on Wednesday, May 21st, bringing together over 500 coaches from clubs affiliated with Valencia CF for a day of updates and training provided by the RFEF and FFCV.
The theme of this VIII Clínic Escoles VCF is «Creating an Identity in Youth Football», where participants will delve into the concepts and methodology of the VCF Academy, ranked as the fourth best in Europe for player development by the CIES Football Observatory.
The event will kick off with a group photo of the 500 coaches from different Escoles VCF clubs, alongside key figures like Academy VCF Director Luis Martínez, FFCV President Salvador Gomar, and FFCV School of Coaches Director Joaquín García. Following this, the Academy VCF’s Department of Psychoeducation will discuss fostering a sense of belonging among players, leading into presentations from various Escoles VCF clubs on Internal Training, Playing Identity, and Coaching Identity.
A highlight of the day will be a roundtable discussion featuring coaches from VCF Juvenil A, VCF Juvenil B, and VCF Cadete A, focusing on the «Importance of Identity in Youth Football» and how it aligns with achieving sporting success, demonstrated by their recent titles in various youth leagues.
The VIII Clínic Escoles VCF will also feature former Sporting de Gijón and Albacete Balompié coach Rubén Albés sharing insights on professional football after his experience in LaLiga Hypermotion, emphasizing the development of a unique playing style.
The event will wrap up the sixth season of the Escoles VCF program, which has united over 40 affiliated clubs across Valencia, Murcia, and Tenerife to nurture talent, train coaches, share the VCF Academy methodology, and promote the club’s values.
