The City Council has invested over 1.5 million euros (1,589,673.06 euros) in paving 76,264 square meters of 33 streets in the municipal area during the first four months of this year, and “with this intervention, it has improved the roads of 22 neighborhoods and 13 districts of València”, as stated today by the Urban Planning Councilor, Juan Giner.
The district with the highest number of interventions has been Poblats del Nord, where different roads have been paved, two of them in the Carpesa district. There have also been “significant” interventions in Poblats del Sud, with works on two roads in El Saler, two in La Torre, and one in El Palmar.
In Quatre Carreres, interventions in the public road of La Punta stand out, where the City Council has paved three roads with surfaces totaling more than 20,000 m².
The streets with the largest paved area have been Camí Pou d’Aparici (8,049.04 m²) and Mosén Palanca-Camino Caminot (7,574.70 m²), both in La Punta.
Juan Giner has explained that “all the works have been carried out with the aim of improving streets deteriorated by traffic and, consequently, road safety and urban mobility.” “Furthermore, they contribute to the revitalization of neighborhoods,” he added.
With this objective, the City Council has also intervened in smaller spaces such as Ciscar and Joaquím Costa streets in the L’Eixample district, or Santíssima Creu street in the Benifaraig district of Pobles del Nord.
“In conclusion – the councilor concluded – these works reinforce the City Council’s commitment to the maintenance and equitable development of all neighborhoods”.
