Levante UD, within their project «The Children’s Club» and the initiatives that their organization and foundation realize to support those affected by Dana, played a very special visit to CEIP San Carlos Borromeo de Albal yesterday.
Albal was one of the localities affected by Atracar last October, and the children of the population witnessed how their daily and school routines were disrupted. The educational centers in the area, including San Carlos Borromeo, had to close their doors due to the damages suffered from this catastrophe. The aforementioned school resumed activities on November 28th in an event where those who participated in the cleaning and reconstruction of the center, amidst applause and tears of emotion, welcomed students from all grades back to their classrooms.
Álex primo, a native of Albal, did not want to miss the opportunity to approach the younger residents to bring them joy and motivation, alongside Captain Pablo Martínez and player Ana Franco, in a context that was and still is complex for the entire population. The goalkeeper served as the host in this emotional meeting with hundreds of students in sixth grade and VI-A. Excitement filled the school’s audiovisual classroom as the students saw their idols and welcomed them with a resounding ovation. The youngsters acted as journalists, posing all the questions that came to their minds to the players, showing great interest in their professional lives and personal experiences.
The goalkeeper was delighted to have visited the students at one of the schools in his city and expressed gratitude to the club: «For me, it’s an honor to come here and I want to support those who went through tough times. These actions mean a lot. Likewise, Ana Franco, experiencing this for the first time, acknowledged that «Seeing the children’s faces light up when I entered gave me joy as well.» Pablo Martínez also expressed his satisfaction for sharing moments of happiness with the young ones, «It was truly a great moment.»
The gathering concluded with a family photo that captured the moment and sealed the memory of an unforgettable day for the school’s children.
