The VCF Alevín A team had a great weekend participating in LaLigaFCFutures, narrowly missing out on the final and finishing third after defeating Real Madrid CF in the third-place match.
In the last 4 editions, the team has been in the top 3 for 3 of them, showcasing their consistent performance. This third-place finish in the XXXII Torneo Nacional Ascale, the most prominent U12 tournament in Spain with the participation of the top 20 clubs from LaLigaEASports, continues the Academy VCF’s strong legacy. Over the past 4 years, VCF Alevín A has consistently finished in the top 3, with a runner-up finish in 2022, a championship win in 2024, and a third-place finish in 2025.
Under the guidance of Nacho Tarín, the team had an impressive tournament, remaining undefeated in the group stage with three wins and a draw. They defeated FC Barcelona in the Quarter-Finals and only lost to Sevilla in the semis, eventually securing the third spot by overcoming Real Madrid in a penalty shootout.
The Valencia team showed strength defensively and attacking prowess, with goals coming from various players, demonstrating the #JugarAFoc playing style that reflects the Academy VCF’s methodology, ranked as the fourth best in Europe for player development.
Beyond their on-field performance, the team’s behavior both on and off the pitch reflected the values of the Academy VCF: Sentiment, Valentia i Germanor, which became their rallying cry before each match.
