The Valencia CF Academy is aiming for a new title at the JSSL Pro 7s in Singapore, the largest youth football tournament in Asia where the VCF Cadete A and the VCF Femenino C and D teams defend their titles in the male and female categories from the last two editions. This tournament also has the support of LaLiga.
The VCF Cadete A and the VCF Femenino D will be competing from April 17 to 20 in Singapore for the U16 international tournament. Teams from LaLiga such as Villarreal CF, Borussia Dortmund, Tottenham Hotspur, Sporting Lisbon, and Melbourne City will also participate, with 450 teams and 6000 players from 15 countries in the preliminary stages.
The Valencia CF teams are excited to showcase their talent on an international stage and compete against top teams from around the world. The experience of participating in such tournaments is invaluable for the players and coaches, allowing them to grow both on and off the field.
The VCF Cadete A will face tough competition from teams like Persib Bandung from Indonesia and Villarreal CF in the group stages. Adaptation to the shorter and faster-paced games, as well as the smaller playing field, will be crucial for their success in the tournament.
Similarly, the VCF Femenino teams are determined to defend their titles and make a mark in Singapore. Coaches Alejandro Mora and Paula Nieto are leading the charge, aiming for a third consecutive victory in the tournament. The players are eager to explore a new continent and compete with passion and intensity to uphold the Valencia CF name.
The Valencia CF teams will kick off their campaign against Chonburi FC from Indonesia, with a focus on adapting to the unique challenges of the tournament. Managing emotions, adapting to the climate, and showcasing their skills will be key to their success in Singapore.
