Gayà and his eternal love for Valencia CF
Since joining the VCF Academy at the age of 11, José Luis Gayà has showcased his quality, effort, and commitment to the Club of his life: Valencia CF.
Gradually, he grew to become one of the pillars of VCF Mestalla. He made his debut with the first team on October 30, 2012, in the Copa del Rey match against UE Llagostera. From that moment on, his growth was exponential, and his importance in Valencia CF increased, even becoming the second youngest player (28 years and 289 days) in the Club’s history to play 350 official matches. The first one being Fernando Gómez Colomer, who achieved this impressive milestone at 27 years and 239 days.
Upcoming challenges
Currently, Gayà is chasing legendary players such as Pep Claramunt (375), Dani Parejo (383), Enrique Saura (400), Santiago Cañizares (416), Manolo Mestre (424), Miguel Ángel Angulo (434), David Albelda (485), Ricardo Arias (521), and Fernando Gómez Colomer (553).
