The Valencian Institute of Youth (IVAJ), through its Carnet Jove program, reinforces its «commitment» to alternative leisure and youth culture by supporting once again the ‘Joc & Rol’ area at the Valencia Comic Fair 2025.
The Director General of IVAJ, Vicente Ripoll, participated on Friday in the inauguration of this area included in the event, where he stated that the Valencia Comic Fair «is a national and international reference for youth leisure that brings together creativity, dissemination, and learning.»
«Once again, the epicenter of the world of comics, manga, and anime, among others, comes together in our land and IVAJ will support this initiative so relevant in the world of leisure,» he emphasized, as indicated by the Generalitat in a statement.
In turn, the Director General encouraged all young people to come to Feria Valencia between February 28 and March 2 to «enjoy this unique experience with family or friends.»
The ‘Joc & Rol’ space, sponsored by IVAJ, has become one of the «great» attractions of the Fair, offering attendees the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of board and role-playing games. Specifically, this area brings together a diverse program of innovative activities: game demonstrations, tournaments, role-playing sessions, and exclusive prototype discoveries.
In this sense, Ripoll highlighted the «importance» of these events for the youth population of the Valencian Community. «With the support for ‘Joc & Rol’, the aim is to offer enriching, accessible, and interest-connected experiences to Valencian youth,» he emphasized.
Additionally, he added that this collaboration between IVAJ and the Valencia Comic Fair extends throughout the year, with various events in Valencia and other locations in the Valencian Community, with the goal of reaching a greater number of young people.
The IVAJ’s representative highlighted the «importance» of this space as a meeting point for strategy, storytelling, and group fun enthusiasts. «Through ‘Carnet Jove Experience,’ we actively participate in the Fair through the ‘Joc & Rol’ space, where all the latest developments in the world of board games are present,» he emphasized.
In this way, IVAJ invests in a resource that «promotes the development of skills, capacities, and competencies of young people through entertainment,» Ripoll pointed out.
PARTICIPATION AND GAMES
Attendees can participate in five official tournaments of some of the «most popular games of the moment,» such as La Fallera Calavera, Altered, Disney Lorcana, Star Wars Unlimited, and Pokémon TCG. They can also test their skills in the hidden role-playing game Blood on the Clocktower and enjoy a game library with over 100 board games. Additionally, through the ‘Joc & Rol Passport,’ players can access to win «exclusive» prizes after completing games in the gaming area.
Furthermore, the Valencia Comic Fair 2025 offers a program with performances, workshops, conferences, cosplay, K-Pop, J-Pop, manga, anime, and the presence of prominent guests from the world of comics and series.
IVAJ, through Carnet Jove, provides discounts on entry to the Valencia Comic Fair 2025, as well as advantages in multiple cultural activities and events throughout the year.
Finally, the Director General highlighted the IVAJ’s «involvement» in bringing the youth of the Valencian Community closer to activities that «promote their creativity, participation, and connection with society.» «Carnet Jove is a key tool for this as it allows access to events like the Comic Fair with exclusive discounts and benefits,» he concluded.
