The VCF Juvenil A has been named the RUNNER-UP of the Youth Champions Cup after losing in the final 3-1 to Real Betis in a game where the Valencia youth team was very dominant in the first half, taking the lead through Aimar Blázquez and hitting the post and crossbar through Lucas Núñez, but saw Real Betis equalize in stoppage time of the first half and then take the lead in the second half. This is the third time that VCF Juvenil A has been named runner-up in a Champions Cup, having won it in the 2006-07 season.
The Valencia youth team started the game with conviction and determination after eliminating FC Barcelona and Real Madrid in the Quarterfinals and Semifinals, dominating possession and creating chances through a combination of Jaume Durà and Aimar Blázquez that resulted in a close-range shot from Palomar.

The dominance paid off with a great play by David Otorbi on the right wing, crossing for Aimar Blázquez to score a header at the far post, his fourth goal in this Champions Cup.

After the goal, Betis pushed more towards Raúl Jiménez’s goal, with Pablo García making dangerous crosses and shots that were well saved by the Catral goalkeeper, with Carlos Alós and Alejandro Panach stepping in to defend against Betis’ attacks.

VCF Juvenil A, more defensive now, looked for speed on the counterattacks from David Otorbi, who continued to cause problems on the right wing. In a new chance, the Valencia CF could have scored a second goal through a shot from Miguel Monferrer that went wide.

VCF Juvenil A had another opportunity with a one-on-one chance for Aimar Blázquez, whose low shot hit the post with the goalkeeper beaten. In the next play, Lucas Núñez hit the crossbar with a spectacular free-kick. Betis equalized just before halftime with Rodrigo heading in a cross.

The second half started with a high tempo and both teams creating chances, with VCF Juvenil A and Real Betis both coming close to scoring. Betis had a one-on-one opportunity saved by a spectacular Raúl Jiménez save and Carlos Alós clearing a shot off the line.

VCF Juvenil A tried to slow the game down with longer possessions, looking for opportunities on the wings, particularly through Leslie on the left, who delivered dangerous crosses but couldn’t find a finisher.

Real Betis scored their second goal from a left-wing cross, again finished by Rodrigo. Coach Óscar Sánchez made substitutions to inject new energy into the team.
In the following play, the game was effectively sealed with a goal from Morante after a skillful move to beat his defender and score past Raúl Jiménez.
The runner-up finish in the Champions Cup concludes a successful season for VCF Juvenil A, who won the Group VII of the Division of Honor well ahead of schedule and eliminated FC Barcelona in the Quarterfinals and Real Madrid in the Semifinals of the Champions Cup.
