The district of Poblats Marítims will host the 13th edition of the 15K ‘Valencia Open to the Sea’ this Sunday, April 6, as well as the fifth edition of this same race in 7.5K format, both events organized by the newspaper Las Provincias, in collaboration with the City Council of Valencia and various sports associations and entities.
Both events, with around 10,000 participants, will take place from 9 to 11:30 hours (the 7.5K circuit is included within the 15K).
Regarding traffic cuts, they will start around 8:30 hours and will affect streets such as José Ballester Gozalvo, Isabel de Villena, Eugènia Viñes, Doctor Marcos Sopena, Doctor Lluch, Séquia de la Cadena, Avenida de Tarongers, Calle de la Reina, Doctor Josep Juan Dómine, and the Marina de Valencia.
Both the start and finish lines are located on the Paseo Marítimo, at the height of José Ballester Gozalvo number 27, so there will be no traffic cuts for the assembly or disassembly of this infrastructure.
Public transport disruptions
Due to the 15K and 7.5K races this Sunday, EMT Valencia has planned new itineraries for a total of 8 bus lines. You can get as close as possible to the events with lines 19, 31, 32, 92, 93, 95, 98, and 99. All information can be found in the ‘Latest News’ section of the EMT website, in the mobile app, and on social media.
As for the tram, lines 4, 6, and 8 will be affected during the race. It is recommended to check Metrovalencia’s channels for more details.
