The II VCF Academy Coaches Convention concluded last weekend with great satisfaction among the 52 coaches who returned to their countries with a much better understanding of the methodology of the VCF Academy and a stronger sense of belonging to continue working with the identity of VCF.
The success of this second edition of the VCF Academy Coaches Convention was evident by the increased number of coaches from Canada, the USA, England, Hungary, Italy, Greece, and Cyprus, as well as the specificity of the seminars in the two proposed training levels held at the Media Center of the Ciutat Esportiva del Valencia CF and the Camp de Mestalla.
«We have enjoyed the experience a lot because this Level II is more about how to do things on the field, working based on what we see and how to generate tasks based on the identity of Valencia CF, and I will take this knowledge back to Italy,» said Luca Castelli of the VCF Academy Programs Italia & Malta, who had over 1000 children in the more than 20 VCF Camps held in various locations last summer.
The theoretical training carried out on the field was also highlighted by the VCF Academy Canada. «For all the coaches who came from Canada to participate in this seminar, they learned a lot because it allowed us to experience the methodology from a rational perspective to the field,» said Diego Bonatto, a coach from the VCF Academy Canada who has been visiting Valencia since 2016. «I feel at home here.»
Gabor Tacaks, from the Dinamo Star SE in Budapest Powered by Valencia CF, expressed that this was his first experience at the Coaches Convention and found it incredibly valuable. «This II VCF Academy Coaches Convention has been an incredible opportunity for all of us to improve and better understand the methodology of the VCF Academy and the DNA of Valencia CF. It will be very useful to transfer this knowledge to our children in Hungary,» he said.
In addition to the valuable training, the coaches also had the opportunity to network with coaches from other VCF Academies around the world and interact directly with the Valencia CF coaches, including first-team coach Carlos Corberán and former player and VCF Mestalla coach Miguel Ángel Angulo. «It was incredible to be with Angulo and Carlos Corberán. A great opportunity to listen and learn from what they shared. It was exciting,» they expressed.
Despite weather challenges, the coaches were able to enjoy the experience and the city of Valencia. «It has been an incredible effort by the colleagues of the VCF Academy Programs and a great commitment from everyone at the VCF Academy to make it a success,» said Vicente Roch, Technical Manager of the VCF Academy Programs.
The II VCF Academy Coaches Convention is part of the VCF Academy Programs, which organizes a wide range of activities each season, involving over 5000 players and 400 coaches from more than 50 countries worldwide to better understand the playing methodology of the VCF Academy.
The VCF Soccer Academy programs, including VCF Soccer Camps, international alliances, technical consultancy, and the VCF Academy World Cup, are instrumental in expanding the global reach of the Valencia CF brand and what it represents.
